<3 How I love this – you both have committed your lives to the Lord, to following His plan for your lives individually and His plan was to bring the two of your together to create such a beautiful family. God had a very special man in His plan for you to marry and you found him. May God's blessings continue to be poured out into your lives and may your lives continue to touch the lives of everyone who comes in contact with your family. I know you have blessed me…..Happy Birthday ChadReplyCancel

The other day I walked into the pantry, looked up, and noticed that I had placed the container of mashed potatoes I had just made on the shelf.  I quickly shook my head at myself and moved them to the refrigerator, you know, where they belong.  The funny thing about finding the mashed potatoes in […]

as far as the "terrible two's" went in our house, that was the most fun i've ever had with my two kids. there's so much to discover for them: i taught them to throw rocks in the creek, how to help make cookies (always keep the vacuum near by), how to plant flowers (joe used to tell them "night-night! love you!" after we'd finish planting, just like we tell him when we tuck him in at night. and i still say it today. i think it makes them grow bigger and happier). . . . just so, so much magic to be discovered. enjoy this stage!!ReplyCancel

Oh Summer, it warms my heart to know that you were able to venture away from the busy-ness of life to experience life at a much slow pace for a little while. You really really really deserved that break! You work so hard being mama, wife, photographer, friend, daughter, sister. These photos are breathtaking– and that cliff diver….wowsers! AND you in the water riding a horse– YOU GO, GIRL! 🙂 I look forward to sitting down with you over our warm coffee (you) and hot cocoa (me) to hear more about your venture to Jamaica. Let's get together soon, k?

Sigh. I loved these photos. The man diving. Stop it.

There's something so humbling when we are vulnerable and in a land that is not our own. We identify and we look at who we are and where we come from so differently.

I'm so glad that Chad and Summer (as opposed to Mommy and Daddy), were able to experience this…together.ReplyCancel

It’s been quiet here lately.  During the day I think about it.  This space.  My tiny corner of the web that has, over the years, become sacred to me.  My sanity.  My therapy.  My reminder of who I am and how I am.  This teeny tiny space has been my starting point of discovery and […]

World's are not changed by charismatic speakers and teachers or powerful, influential politicians but rather they are changed one life at a time – lives that are being shaped and transformed into the image of the Creator – to accomplish this God uses special people called mommy and daddy to pour out their love and acceptance into the little lives they have brought into the world as a result of their love for each other. Lives that are surrendered to God and who seek His leading in how to best nurture, teach and lead these little ones to Him. You may or may not ever travel the world or accomplish some of the things you thought you would but you are a world changer and you are shaping and changing three little "worlds" each and every day. Such a blessing –ReplyCancel
