Last week was a hair-pulling, teeth-clenching, fist-making, on the verge of screaming kind of week. Chad was gone most of the week for work and I was left at home with, well, you know. . . I was left at home. Really, I typically enjoy the very rare time he is away for a few […]

When our lab was a wee pup, I was THAT close to taking her back to the breeders. Then on her first birthday, it was as if someone flipped a switch and suddenly she turned into the couch potato that she is today, nine years later. Weirdest thing ever, but I can't imagine life without her now. Hang in there, a year is only 365 days long compared to a life time. ; )ReplyCancel

Kate, I will be honest, seeing "1 year" put me in a bit of a panic. A YEAR??!! I suspect we can do it, though. Thank you for giving me hope. 😉ReplyCancel

so sweet. what a good perspective, my friend. "pretending we don't actually live here" – perfection. 🙂 i know that what Taza will bring to you in damaged wood and pee-stained carpet she will exceed (and already has) with love, loyalty and companionship in all the many years to come. you already know this! 🙂 hang in there with that pup.
    love you, Miss ReplyCancel

I can’t believe I did it.  Really, I just can’t believe it.  There were some close calls.  Some almost slips.  Some, cover ups needed.  But in the end. . . I made it.  I never spilled the beans. It was hard.  It was hard to send our kitty visitors packing.  To continue to shoot down […]

Oh my gosh, I love your new puppy! Great video. S'pose you just needed another baby, Summer? 🙂

I'm just beginning to check back in to others' blogs. A year plus of fighting/recovering from leukemia. I always love your pictures and stories. Glad you're still at it. 🙂ReplyCancel

It’s hard to think straight sometimes.  (Or most of the time?) So many things are being said at the same time.  Advice, opinion, ideas, thoughts, arguments.  There is never a lack of words and voices constantly swimming from one source or another directly into the ears, mind and heart. Opinions are formed and conclusions drawn […]

I took the test at 5:15 a.m. In my heart I already knew but when I looked down it was confirmed. .  . “Pregnant” I called Chad who was driving toward work and shared the news.  After some silence his response was a simple, nervous, okay. We had planned this.  We had wanted this.  But […]

Ok, a couple days late but HAPPY THIRD BIRTHDAY, MEADOW!!!!

I can't believe she is THREE. These kids don't slow down, do they.

    She is such a sweetheart!!!

    Her face. Those EYES. Sigh.

You just can't help but wonder what she is thinking and smile at all the joy she shows!

She always seems like such a curious and free spirit, love it!

    Happy Birthday!!!ReplyCancel

“Chanelle, go take a shower.” “Charlie, you can’t wear a ripped shirt.” “Can I watch t.v.?” “No, you can’t watch t.v.” “Meadow, why do you smell like syrup? “Meadow has syrup in her hair!” “Chanelle, get dressed!” Fifteen minutes later, I look up to see Chanelle standing at the of the stairs wrapped in a […]
