The day begins in a mild form of chaos.  Not a loud, million voices, massive mess kind of chaos.  It’s a quieter chaos, the kind of chaos that comes with every parent who daily attempts to balance the life of self and the little ones for which they care.  It’s a silent chaos that echos […]

I’ve been staring at a blank screen for well over an hour now.  Okay, I might be stretching the truth just a little.  It’s more like, stare at blank Blogger screen, look at other monitor refresh Facebook feed to see who is finishing their “school is canceled” status with thirteen exclamation marks and who is […]

i like the pics with Meadow and the fire in the background. along with her outfit, I shall call it: Hobo Chic. 🙂 hahaha.

funny, i read some wise words again:
When I look over my personal history there is not one change I regret. True, most every change, except marrying Chad, I initially resisted. But in the end I've found change to be exciting, stretching, and a step toward the next thing in life. What is it they say? The only thing that is constant in life is change? It's so true. For me, however, I require an adjustment period that allows me to bid a proper farewell to what was, while taking the scenic route to what is. “One time on Hollywood Boulevard I saw a young girl with a baby.  It was a crisp winter morning & her hair shone dark purple in the sun.  She was panhandling outside the Holiday Inn & the door clerk came out & told her to be on her way & I wondered if anyone would […]

My eyes popped open at 5:30 this morning.  It took me a moment to sort through the fog in my brain, I know I’m supposed to be excited about something, but what is it?  Do you ever wake up like that? With a little flutter in your belly and brewing excitement because you know something […]

So what speaks more to me? Your words or your photos? I mean honestly, it's a toss up.

Chanelle's words. The mistake. Making something good come from it.

"Hard times will come. Challenges will be faced. In all of it I wonder what might happen if we find a way to turn it into something good."

The subtle shifts in perspective… oh man, you're right.

    So much of this resonated.
    And these photos?
    Gasp. Oh friend…

I remember a song from when I was like 14, the chorus:

    "He gives beauty for ashes
    Strength for fear
    Gladness for mourning
    Peace for despair"

Love you. Thank you for taking the time to write this post, to include the photos. Everything.ReplyCancel
