. . . if I ask really nicely. . . would Mary Oliver come to my house for lunch? I would love to meet the soul that produced such beautiful words as these. . .
I was a bride married to amazement.
I was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms.
When it is over, I don’t want to wonder
if I have made of my life something particular, and real.
I don’t want to find myself sighing and frightened,
or full of argument.
I don’t want to end up simply having visited this world.”
-Mary Oliver
I traveled this weekend and was privileged to glimpse many scenes like the one above. It was lovely, beautiful, and soul-restoring. I was reminded, once again, of the importance of our stories. All of our stories.
I returned home with time enough to unpack and pack again as we are heading out to spend a few days with my Dad. I’m pumped.
More to come. . .
Wow. I needed this today. Thank you!
Can I come have lunch, too? One of my favorite quotes is something she said: "Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it."
Hope you have a wonderful little break!

Just saw something on pinterest you might like if you want another photo project… 🙂 Take a picture of your kid(s) with an object from each letter of the alphabet (ie umbrella and your kid for U) and then make a shutterfly book of it. I would love to see what you would come up with!
Keep capturing moments – we all need to see inspiration and hear honest and encouraging words when online.
Love it.
Enjoy the time with your dad!
