At the Invitation of a Friend. . .

My dear Friend and fellow blogger over at Two Pretzels  invited her readers to participate in a fun little survey.  The Proust Questionnaire can be found in Vanity Fair magazine with various responses from different actors and actresses.  I have never actually seen the questionnaire, but for more information you can visit her blog.  Thanks for the invite, K!  Here are my responses:

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Sitting outdoors, family, friends and great conversation.  A diet Mt. Dew would be a nice bonus. 🙂
What is your greatest fear?
                                                          Losing my family or my family losing me.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
 My children. 
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
Resistance to change.
Which living person do you most admire?
My dad.
What is your greatest extravagance?
I don’t really do monetary extravagance.  I would say my biggest extravagance is “time” spent running. 
What is your current state of mind?
A little bit of sadness, mixed with a whole lot of joy.
What do you dislike most about your appearance?
Currently, the poison ivy that has invaded my body.
What is the quality you most like in a man/woman?
Genuineness
What or who is the greatest love of your life?
Without a doubt, Chad.
Who are your favorite writers?
I will read anything by Brennan Manning. So many others that evoke emotion.  My friend, Kat.
When and where were you happiest?
My honeymoon in the Smokey Mountains.  Surrounded by beautiful nature, full of excitement, beginning our new life.  It was one of the first times “change” didn’t scare me.   

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Timidity.
Where would you like to live?
I am right where I’m supposed to be.
What is your most marked characteristic?
Sensitivity.
Who are your heroes in real life?
Chad.  My Dad.  My in-laws.  My Grandparents.  Each work tirelessly, love extravagantly, listen attentively, give endlessly, and never complain. 
How would you like to die?
Without regrets.  
 
What is your motto?
Look for the beauty in this moment.  If you look look, you will see it.
